ASCII Media Works' Dengeki no Kanzume flyer reports that the television anime of Gakuto Mikumo's Strike the Blood light novel series will be produced by the studios SILVER LINK (Penguindrum, Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya, WATAMOTE) and CONNECT (in-between animation for Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S, Sword Art Online). Hideyo Yamamoto (The Prince of Tennis II) is directing, and Hiroyuki Yoshino (Guilty Crown, Magi - The Labyrinth of Magic) is handling the scripts. Keiichi Sano (Heaven's Memo Pad, Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru: Futari no Elder) is designing the characters.

Mikumo's Asura Cryin' and The Mystic Archives of Dantalian light novels also inspired anime.

The school action fantasy story of Strike the Blood revolves around Kojō Akatsuki, a boy deemed the world's most powerful vampire (once thought to only exist in legend and lore), and Yukina Hirameki, a girl entrusted with watching over the vampire and if needed, hunting him down.

The anime will premiere this fall.
