California's SacAnime to Host Voice Actress Sumi Shimamoto

Voice of Nausicaä & Toki in Ghibli's Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, Princess Mononoke films

California's SacAnime Convention announced that it will host voice actress Sumi Shimamoto during the August 30-September 1 weekend. The convention will be held at the Sacramento Convention Center & Sheraton Grand Hotel.

Shimamoto has voiced roles in more than 150 anime, including Nausicaä in Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, Toki in Princess Mononoke, Emma: A Victorian Romance Second Act's Aurelia Jones, Fractale's Moeran, Giant Robo's Ginrei, Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro's Lady Clarisse de Cagliostro, Maison Ikkoku's Kyoko Otonashi, and Sorcerer Hunters's Big Mama.

SacAnime will also host toy and anime designer Tsuyoshi Nonaka (Power Rangers and Kamen Rider franchises, Shin Mazinger Shōgeki! Z-Hen, D.I.C.E., Mazinkaizer SKL).
