Otome Game Company honeybee Teases 4 New Projects in 2014

New Year's video teases new project in planning for Starry Sky franchise

PC software manufacturer Asgard began streaming a Happy New Year video from its YouTube channel on Tuesday that hints at four new projects from the otome game (romance games for female players) label honeybee for 2014.

The hints provided in the video are as follows:

  • Project 1 — Title: Photograph Journey. Keyword: traveling. Illustrator: Tō Mizuguchi. honeybee will reveal more details about the game in the March issue of Dengeki Girls Style on February 10
  • Project 2 — Keyword: ayakashi (traditional Japanese ghosts and spirits). Illustrator: Kazuaki (Starry Sky). honeybee will announce the game in the April issue of B's-Log on February 20
  • Project 3 — Keyword: shinigami (death god). Illustrator: Satoi (Diabolik Lovers). honeybee will announce the game in the June issue of B's-Log on April 19
  • Project 4 — Keyword: ???, Illustrator: Ryō Fujiwara (Shinigami-hime no Saikon, Hōkago colorful step). honeybee will announce the game in June

The video then thanks fans for supporting honeybee in 2013, and hopes fans will continue to support it in 2014.

The end of the video mentions that a new project is in planning for the Starry Sky franchise. Digital Manga Inc. released the first volume of the Starry Sky manga in North America in 2012. Nobuhiro Takamoto (07-Ghost, Beelzebub, Tenchi in Tokyo) directed the 2010 anime television series based off of the original series of visual novels.

honeybee's four original Starry Sky PC visual novels have been ported to the PlayStation Portable and Nintendo 3DS.
