Kanojo ga Flag o Oraretara Anime's 2nd Promo Streamed

posted on by Egan Loo
Ai Kayano announces April anime as Akane, a cheerful granddaughter of an esteemed family

The official website for the anime of Touka Takei's Kanojo ga Flag o Oraretara light novel series began streaming the second promotional video on Thursday.

The video features narration by Ai Kayano as Akane Mahōgasawa, the gentle, cheerful, ultra-positive-thinking, optimistic granddaughter of the Mahōgasawa Foundation's chairperson. She tells the protagonist Sōta Hatate that Kanojo ga Flag o Oraretara ("Gaworare" for short) is being made into a television anime that will premiere this April. Despite her shyness, she invites Sōta to watch the anime with her.

Takei's original romantic comedy light novel series revolves around Sōta Hatate, a boy who has the unique ability to see "Flags" above the heads of other people. The "Flags" mark critical crossroads in people's lives — when the choices they make will determine love, friendship, victory, and even death. He transfers into Tokyo's elite Hatagaya Academy, but instead of living by himself in the boys' dormitory, he ends up living with five beautiful girls under one roof.

The series will star:

Ryota Ohsaka as Sōta Hatate Ibuki Kido as Nanami Knight Bladefield
Ai Kayano as Akane Mahōgasawa Kana Asumi as Kikuno Shōkanji
Kana Hanazawa as Megumu Tōzokuyama Yōko Hikasa as Rin Eiyūzaki
Ayaka Suwa as Ruri Ninjabayashi Aoi Yūki as Serika Ginyūin

Ayumu Watanabe (Space Brothers) is directing the anime off scripts supervised by Takashi Aoshima (Kotoura-san, Yuruyuri - Happy Go Lily). Shizue Kaneko (Mysterious Girlfriend X) is designing the characters. The anime will be produced by Hoods Entertainment (The Qwaser of Stigmata, Manyū Hiken-chō). Aoi Yūki will perform the opening theme song.
