Japan Animator Expo, the project of weekly anime shorts from Hideaki Anno's Studio Khara and the media company Dwango, revealed on Monday that the 18th short will be Moyocco Anno and Masashi Kawamura's "The Diary of Ochibi" (Ochibi-san).
Moyoco Anno crowdfunded "The Diary of Ochibi," a stop-motion feature based on her The Diary of Ochibi-san (Ochibi-san) manga. Kawamura wrote and directed the short that Animator Expo describes as "a journey during the four seasons with Ochibi."
The Diary of Ochibi-san (Ochibi-san) is currently running in the Monday edition of Asahi Shimbun. Crunchyroll published The Diary of Ochibi-san online.
The short will debut on Friday.
