posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
The staff of the One Piece anime revealed on Friday that singer Ken Miyake will make his television anime voice acting debut in the anime. Miyake will appear in the episodes that will air on January 13 and 20, voicing a different character (a prisoner and a villager) each week. Miyake's band V6 provided the anime's current opening song "Super Powers," which debuted in the anime last October.
Miyake will also provide background dialogue, with dialogue recorded alongside Mayumi Tanaka (Luffy) and Kappei Yamaguchi (Usopp).
The One Piece anime entered the current "Whole Cake Island" arc with the 783rd episode in April 2017. One Piece is getting a new film in the franchise titled One Piece Stampede on August 9 to commemorate the TV anime's 20th anniversary.
