English-subtitled promo videos also streamed

Crunchyroll announced on Tuesday that it has added Kunihiko Ikuhara's original television anime project Sarazanmai and the third television anime season based on Kafka Asagiri and Sango Harukawa's Bungo Stray Dogs manga to its spring streaming lineup.

Sarazanmai will debut on Crunchyroll on April 11 at 3:55 p.m. EDT. The anime will be available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Central America, and South America.

Crunchyroll describes the story:

The setting is Asakusa. One day, second-years in middle school Kazuki Yasaka, Toi Kuji, and Enta Jinnai meet Keppi, a mysterious kappa-like creature, who steals their shirikodama and transforms them into kappas. "To return to your original forms," Keppi tells them, "you must fight the zombies and take the shirikodama from them." Can the boys connect with each other and steal the zombies' shirikodama?! At the same time, something is happening at the police box where Reo Niiboshi and Mabu Akutsu work. This is the story of three boys who can't connect with someone important to them, learning about what it truly means to do so.

The official Twitter account for Crunchyroll also began streaming an English-subtitled trailer.

The 11-episode series will premiere on April 11 on Fuji TV's Noitamina programming block.

Ikuhara is directing the series and, along with Teruko Utsumi, is overseeing the series scripts. Nobuyuki Takeuchi (Fireworks) is serving as chief director. Migi is providing the original character designs, and Kayoko Ishikawa is adapting the designs for animation and serving as chief animation director. Katsunori Shibata (Penguindrum) and Maimu Matsushima are credited with conceptual design. Ayaka Fujii (FLCL Alternative, Kill la Kill) is handling the background art with Studio Pablo and Yukari Hashimoto (Penguindrum, Yuri Kuma Arashi) is composing the music.

The studios MAPPA (Yuri!!! on Ice, In This Corner of the World, Rage of Bahamut Genesis) and Lapin Track (Yuri Kuma Arashi) are producing the series. "Ikunirappa" is credited with the original story; the original story of Ikuhara's earlier Yuri Kuma Arashi anime was similarly credited to "Ikunigomamonaka."

The third season of the Bungo Stray Dogs anime will debut on April 12 at 10:30 a.m. EDT. The series will be available worldwide outside Asia. Crunchyroll also began streaming an English-subtitled version of the anime's promotional video.

Crunchyroll describes the anime:

The White Tiger and the Black Beast – Nakagawa Atsushi and Akutagawa Ryunosuke's fight against Francis F. brings an end to the great war against the Guild. Life goes on as normal in Yokoyama, thanks to the continued truce between the Armed Detective Agency and the Port Mafia, who, together, saved the city from ruin. But there are still rumors of Guild stragglers and other crime organizations making their way in from abroad. Meanwhile, Dazai Osamu had premonitions of another impending disaster. Lurking in the darkness is the Fyodor D., leader of pirate organization Rats in the House of the Dead, his dreadful plans on the verge of execution.

The series will premiere on Tokyo MX on April 12 at 10:30 p.m., before airing later that evening on TV Aichi, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, and BS11. The show will later air on WOWOW and tvk, and will stream on d Anime Store.

The cast and staff from the previous two television anime seasons and film are returning for the third season. Takuya Igarashi and Yoji Enokido return to respectively direct and pen the scripts for the season. BONES is also returning for the animation.
