Anime Sols Launches Streaming Funding Campaigns for Goku's Grand Adventure and Space AceJul 29th 2014
TOKYO, JAPAN – (July 26, 2014) – Anime Sols LLP, consisting of member companies Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation, Yomiuri-TV Enterprise Co., Ltd., ADEC Co., Ltd., Tezuka Productions Co., Ltd., Tatsunoko Production Co., Ltd., Pierrot Co., Ltd., and Quarkpro LLC, is announcing a new campaign for the free streaming of 13 episodes of Goku's Grand Adventure, from Mushipro and Space Ace, from Tatsunoko Productions.
Anime Sols has launched for free streaming the first three episodes of each show, and users are able to pledge money toward the localization and streaming of the full first 13 episodes of each series, with goals of $2700 each.
Goku's Grand Adventure (1967) Set 1 Streaming, Episodes 1-13 Goal: $2700
Directed by the legend Gisaburō Sugii, this early work from Mushi Productions was the follow up production to Astro Boy, airing in the same timeslot. A fun and loose adaptation of Journey to the West, its blend of action and comedy slapstick ran for 39 episodes and was one of the first color animation aired on Japanese television.
Space Ace (1965) Set 1 Streaming, Episodes 1-13 Goal: $2700
The first production by a fledgling Tatsunoko Productions, this science fiction action adventure show started airing only 2 years after Astro Boy, and is one of the first TV animations produced in Japan, running for 52 episodes. A story of an alien boy stranded on Earth and his adventures, its characters like Space Ace are still beloved around the world!
