New Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V Series Debuts at Germany's YEP! on ProSieben MAXX

NEW YU-GI-OH! ARC-V SERIES DEBUTS AT GERMANY'S YEP! ON ProSieben Maxx

Boys Action & Animation Block Continues Commitment to Yu-Gi-Oh! Franchise

March 13, 2015, New York – 4K Media, the Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. subsidiary dedicated to the management, licensing and marketing of the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand, today announced the latest installment of the franchise, Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, will air at YEP!, appealing to young male viewers with its action and animation programming, on the ProSieben Maxx platform in Germany and German speaking Austria and Switzerland beginning in March 2015, on Fridays at 4 p.m.

The announcement was made by Kristen Gray, SVP of Operations and Business & Legal Affairs, 4K Media, and Karola Bayr, CEO YEP!

“We are very excited to continue Yu-Gi-Oh!'s successful relationship with YEP!, which has been airing installments of the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise of animated series daily since Fall 2013,” said Gray. “YEP!'s focus on action and animation programming really appeals to boys and makes it the ideal home for Yu-Gi-Oh! in Germany. We're so happy that what started with the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX series and has expanded to include Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds, is now debuting Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V. Thus, this further demonstrates the franchise's ability to attract and hold the attention of boys in the 6 to 13 age group for YEP!

“The Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise is very popular with our young male viewers and continues to deliver this elusive demographic group consistently across the week,” added YEP! CEO, Karola Bayr. “Each installment of the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise refreshes with new storylines and the introduction of new characters and situations while retaining the action and adventure that fans of the series demand. We are thrilled with the results we've had with the franchise and are very excited to introduce this latest installment in March.”

In Season 1 of Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, Yuya Sakaki's dream is to follow in his father's footsteps and become the greatest “duel-tainer” in history. Thinking he just might pull it off, he suddenly discovers Pendulum Summoning, a never-before-seen technique that lets him summon many monsters at once. But when countless rivals emerge to steal his spotlight, Yuya needs to step-up his game as dueling evolves into a non-stop world of action. In the all-new Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, monsters literally come to life with advancements in holographic technology. Duelists no longer stand by and let their monsters battle for them on the playing field - they now ride their monsters as they race through real locations to take down their opponents with their Action Cards!
