ADV Acquires Maburaho

HOUSTON, March 8, 2004-ADV Films, the #1 producer-distributor of anime in the U.S., today announced it has acquired exclusive home video and broadcast rights in North America for Maburaho, an action-packed comic romance about magic, love, friendship and deception.

About Maburaho

High school student, Kazuki Shikimori attends school at the elite Aoi Academy where students learn the intricacies of using their magical powers. Blessed with highly sought-after DNA, Kazuki is cursed. He can only use his powers eight times until he turns into dust. Enter three magical hotties, Yuna, Kuriko and Yin. These lovely ladies join forces to help Kazuki increase his magical powers. But are they after his heart or his DNA?

Release Plans

ADV Films has not yet announced specific release plans for the Maburaho anime series, but Ledford expects the title to debut sometime later this year.
