A ground breaking new record label is bringing the best popular music from Japan to the growing J-Pop and anime fan scene. Tofu Records debut CD release is a compilation album featuring 8 great anime theme songs and 7 songs from some of today's hottest Japanese artists. Fan favorite artists, Doug Smith and Steve Bennett, provide the CD artwork. The insert includes the Japanese lyrics romanized into English in order to make it easy to sing along in Japanese.
This CD gives a sample of just some of the great artists coming from the Tofu Records label. Look for more exciting releases later this year!
The CD will be available for special advance purchase at the following
events:
July 3-6, 2003 - Anime Expo, Anaheim, CA
July 17-20, 2003 - Comic Con, San Diego, CA
August 8-10, 2003 - Otakon, Baltimore, MD
In celebration of the new CD launch, Otakon will feature a special live US debut performance by T.M. Revolution.
The CD will also be available for a special pre-release online at http://www.jpopcd.com/ following Otakon. The CD will be available later this year in wide spread distribution at anime and record stores everywhere.
