Disney film premieres in Japan on Friday

Walt Disney Studios Japan started streaming on Thursday a short animated video titled "Ohana" (Hawaiian term for family), created by Japanese comedian and illustrator Tekken, for the upcoming screening of the live-action Lilo & Stitch film in Japan.

The "heartful" video shows sisters Lilo and Nani's struggle to stay together after losing their parents, and how their encounter with the troublesome alien Stitch shows the importance of the bond between "ohana."

The live-action Lilo & Stitch film will premiere in Japan on Friday.

Tekken previously created flipbook animation videos for the Japanese promotion of Disney's films BIG HERO 6 in 2014, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens in 2017.
