Durarara!!×2 Casts M.A.O, Kappei Yamaguchi, Hiro Shimono, Yuuki Ono

Anime's 3 cours to air in Winter 2015, Summer 2015, Winter 2016

The staff of the Durarara!!×2 television anime announced the cast members that will play anime's new characters at the Dengeki Bunko Aki no Saiten (Dengeki Bunko Fall Festival) event on Sunday :

M.A.O as Vorona
Kappei Yamaguchi as Mizuki Akabayashi
Hiro Shimono as Aoba Kuronuma
Yuuki Ono as Chikage Rokujo

The event also revealed that the anime will be split into three separate cours (quarters of a year). The first part (Durarara!!×2 Shō or "understanding") will premiere in January 2015, followed by the second part (Durarara!!×2 Ten or "motion") in July 2015 and the third part (Durarara!!×2 Ketsu or "conclusion") in January 2016.

Namja Town, the indoor amusement park in Tokyo's Ikebukuro area, will hold a Durarara event from November 1 to January 7. In addition, the Hello kitty x Durarara collaboration is continuing with more designs, including Izaya, Shizuo, Mikado, Anri, and Masaomi. The release date for the new PS Vita game is January 29.

Takahiro Omori will direct the anime at new studio Shuka with series composition by Noboru Takagi. Takahiro Kishida will be designing the characters for the series, and Makoto Yoshimori will be providing the music. Eri Yamazaki will be designing the props, Hiromi MIYAWAKI is in charge of the color key, Norikazu Kamibayashi will take the position of CG producer, Kazuhiko Seki will handle editing, Jin Tamura is in charge of photography, and the name of the animation's production group will be Ikebukuro Dollars, the same as the first season. Miyuki Sawashiro will return to her role as Celty Sturluson and Toshiyuki Toyonaga will reprise his role as Mikado Ryūgamine.

The TV anime will premiere in Japan in January.
