Manga artist Shinobu Kaitani published the final chapter of his Muteki no Hito manga in Kodansha's Magazine Pocket app on Wednesday. The fourth and final compiled volume will ship in December.
The story focuses on the appearance of an undefeated Mahjong player who goes by "M" and an unemployed man named Junpei, who feigns a friendship with M in order to figure out how he is cheating. However, when Junpei learns M's secret he truly begins to strike up a friendship.
Professional Mah-Jong player Toshimasa Chō provided editorial supervision for the Mahjong in the story.
Kaitani began the series in Weekly Shōnen Magazine on December 22, 2014, and the manga moved to the Magazine Pocket app in June.
Kaitani's Liar Game manga ran from 2005 to January 2015. The manga has inspired two live-action films, two live-action television series, and two live-action online series. Kaitani's ONE OUTS manga inspired a television anime in 2008.
