posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Videos include 2 commercials with parody scripts

Bandai Namco Entertainment began streaming four new commercials for .hack//G.U. Last Recode, its HD remaster of the .hack//G.U. game, on Monday. The first two videos preview the game's story. The other two videos are parody commercials with humorous scripts that feature the same footage as the 15-second story commercial.

The first parody video has Haseo declaring that he is going to a mixer tonight, and that despite him being a dweeb, he will be sure to get a girlfriend. In the last scene, Haseo introduces himself.

In the second parody video, Haseo declares his love for snacks. He says that even if he stops eating lunch and playing online games, eating snacks is the one thing he cannot stop doing. In the last scene, Haseo asks for snacks from the viewer.

The game will launch in Japan for PlayStation 4 and PC on November 1, and on November 3 in North America. The game will get a physical release for PlayStation 4 in North America. The game is also slated to ship in Europe in late 2017. As in the Americas, the game will be be available in Europe both physically and digitally for PlayStation 4, and digitally for Steam.

The release will include remastered and enhanced versions of the .hack//G.U. Vol. 1: Rebirth, .hack//G.U. Vol. 2: Reminisce, and .hack//G.U. Vol. 3: Redemption games. The game will also add a new "Vol. 4" that takes place after the original story. Ovan will be able to battle with Haseo as a party member in "Vol. 4." The HD remaster marks the .hack series' 15th anniversary.

The game will feature new elements that “make it feel like a new game.” The full-HD remaster will have high-definition movies, including all movies from the Terminal Disk that bundled with the special edition of .hack//G.U. Vol. 1: Rebirth. System improvements will include an added retry function, Cheat Mode, and rebalanced avatar battles. The release will increase movement speed, item slots, battle tempo, Skeith's shooting speed, and other systems. In addition, "Haseo with an unfamiliar look" will appear.

The original .hack//G.U. Vol. 1: Rebirth role-playing game shipped for PlayStation 2 in Japan and North America in 2006. .hack//G.U. Vol. 2: Reminisce shipped in Japan in 2006 and in North America in 2007. .hack//G.U. Vol. 3: Redemption shipped in Japan and North America in 2007. The games inspired a manga, light novel, and the .hack//G.U. Trilogy anime film. Bandai Entertainment and Funimation released the anime on DVD in North America.
