The Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat Manga Adaptation Ends

posted on by Karen Ressler
Final volume ships on March 24

This year's April issue of Kadokawa's Comic Alive magazine published the final chapter of Okomeken's manga adaptation of Sou Sagara's The "Hentai" Prince and the Stony Cat. light novel series on Tuesday. The eighth and final compiled volume — the first volume to ship in over two years — will ship on March 24.

The manga launched in Media Factory's Monthly Comic Alive magazine in 2011, and the seventh volume shipped in December 2015. Digital Manga Publishing licensed the first three volumes of the manga.

The story centers around a second-year high school boy named Yōto Yokodera. Yōto is always thinking about his "carnal desires," but no one acknowledges him as a pervert. He learns about a cat statue that supposedly grants wishes. The boy goes to pray that he will be able to express his lustful thoughts whenever and wherever he wants. At the statue, Yōto encounters Tsukiko Tsutsukakushi, a girl from his high school with her own wish — that she would not display her "real intentions" so readily.

Sagara launched the light novel series in 2011 with illustrations by Kantoku, and the 12th volume will ship in March. The novels inspired a 2012 anime adaptation. Crunchryoll streamed the series as it aired and Sentai Filmworks released the series on home video in North America.
