The Japanese retailer Mangaoh is listing that the television anime of Honda's Gaikotsu Shotenin Honda-san (Skeleton Bookstore Employee Honda) manga will get DVD releases bundled with a two-part rerelease of the original manga's three volumes. The first part will contain a DVD with episodes 1-6 and the second part will include episodes 7-12 as well as an unaired bonus animation.
The anime will premiere on the night of Sunday, October 7 at 24:30 (effectively 12:30 a.m. on Monday morning) on BS11. It will also air on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, and J:COM TV.
Owl Todoroki is directing the series at DLE, and Shin Okashima is writing and overseeing the series scripts. Naoko Kakiki is the character designer, Yuichi Imaizumi is the sound director at Half HP Studio, and Technoboys Pulcraft Green-Fund is composing the music at Lantis.
The comedy manga's story centers on a skeleton named Honda who works in a bookstore. Hilarity ensues daily in his work at the shop's manga counter.
Honda launched the manga on the pixiv Comic website in August 2015. Kadokawa brand company Media Factory published the third compiled book volume last September.
