My Hero Academia Manga Franchise Takes 10 of Top 20 Spots on U.S. Monthly Bookscan April List

Junji Ito's Smashed: Junji Ito Story Collection ranks at #3
Kōhei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia manga volume 18 ranked at #2 on NPD BookScan's Top 20 adult graphic novels list for April (the volume ranked at #2 in March as well).
This month's list featured 13 manga volumes, including:

- #10 — Hajime Isayama's Attack on Titan volume 27
- #11 — Sui Ishida's Tokyo Ghoul:re volume 10
- #13 — Kōhei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia volume 4
- #14 — Hideyuki Furuhashi and Betten Court's My Hero Academia: Vigilantes volume 4
- #15 — Kōhei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia volume 16
- #17 — Kōhei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia volume 5
- #18 — Kōhei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia volume 15
The BookScan rankings collect data sales from more than 16,000 locations including Barnes & Noble and other book chains, independent bookshops, and online purchases — but not sales at comic book stores, Walmart.com, and some other venues. The rankings cover about 85% of the U.S. trade print book market.
