6 BD/DVD volumes planned for TV anime before OVA's March 25 release

The official website for the television anime of writer Dachima Inaka and illustrator Pochi Iida's Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks? (Tsūjō Kōgeki ga Zentai Kōgeki de Ni-kai Kōgeki no Okā-san wa Suki desu ka?) light novel series announced on Saturday that an original video anime (OVA) has been green-lit. The new OVA of unspecified length will ship on March 25, 2020, after the six Blu-ray Disc/DVD volumes for the television anime start shipping on September 25.

The first Blu-ray Disc and DVD volume for the teleivion anime will have the first two episodes, along a short text story by Inaka, a box to hold all the volumes with art by Iida, an inner jacket illustrated by the character designer Yohei Yaegashi, a 12-page booklet, an eyecatch illustration card, clean opening and ending animation sequences, promotional videos and commercials, and a cd with the ending theme song "Tsūjō Kōgeki ga Zentai Kōgeki de Ni-kai Kōgeki Mama?" (The Mom With the Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks). Various retailers are each offering their own bonus items.

The anime premiered on Tokyo MX, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, and BS11 on July 12, on AT-X on July 13, on the Mainichi Broadcasting System on July 14, and on TV Aichi on July 16. Aniplex of America licensed the series, and it will begin streaming the anime in July.

The show stars:

Yoshiaki Iwasaki (Love Hina, Hayate the Combat Butler, The Familiar of Zero) is directing the anime at J.C. Staff. Deko Akao (Frame Arms Girl, Noragami, Astarotte's Toy) is handling the series composition, and Yohei Yaegashi (Aki no Kanade) is designing the characters for animation. Keiji Inai (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, Alderamin on the Sky) is composing the music. Ai Kayano is performing the ending theme song as her character Mamako Ōsuki.

Yen Press has licensed the novels, and it describes the story:

Masato thought he was part of a random survey, but when he gets involved in a secret government scheme, he winds up trapped in the game world. Even more surprising—his mother's there, too!

The first novel debuted in Japan in January 2017. Meicha launched a manga adaptation on Kadokawa's Young Ace Up website in October 2017, and it is also serializing on Comic Walker.
