Level-5 Head Teases More on New Work in 'I' Franchise

posted on by Jabulani Blyden

Level-5 president and CEO Akihiro Hino posted several tweets on Sunday to offer a little more information on a new "I" product which he first teased in March.

The main hint was a picture (right) of a new character. Hino added that the new work will return to the origin of "I" and hence be straightforward and hotblooded. It will not have incarnations or leaps in time, and it will not be a pro league story. Hino teased that he will reveal more information in the future. His company will hold its “Level-5 Vision 2016” presentation event later this year.

Fukuoka-based Level 5 is known for its Inazuma Eleven, Yo-kai Watch, Dark Cloud, Professor Layton, and other game franchises.

The Inazuma Eleven game series began in 2008 on the Nintendo DS, and has since spawned several manga and anime series with multiple movies. The original 127-episode anime series aired between 2008-2011, and has since inspired the Inazuma Eleven GO, Inazuma Eleven GO 2: Chrono Stone, and Inazuma Eleven GO Galaxy sequel series, and three films.
