Hello Kitty Supports Latest Tiger & Bunny Movie With Latest Crossover

Hello Kitty is coming out to show support for Tiger & Bunny The Movie -The Rising- film when it opens on February 8. Sanrio's iconic mascot will suit up as both Wild Tiger and Bunny in a series of crossover merchandise. Sunrise will sell clear file folders, keychains, plushies, earphone jacks on straps, pass cases, tote bags, mirrors and pouches at participating theaters on February 8.

Viz will screen the film theatrically in North America within the same month that the film opens in Japan. Viz is asking fans to fill out a survey to gauge where to bring the film.

The film will revolve around a mystery that happens on the day of the "Justice Day" festival that celebrates Sternbild's legendary goddess. Yūichi Nakamura joins the cast as Golden Ryan, Barnaby Brooks Jr.'s new partner in the film. Character designer Masakazu Katsura (Zetman, Video Girl Ai, DNA²) will also be making his voice-acting debut in a cameo for the new movie.

The famous cat is got her own graphic novels by Viz Media last year, went into space with the Yamato crew, got ninja powers in a TMNT crossover, joined the Justice League, donned an afro in a clothing line with Tokyo Tribes, and was also featured in a number of franchise cross-overs like Naruto Shippūden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3, Vocaloids, the rock band KISS, The Ring film, One Piece, and Evangelion over the past two years. Sanrio credited the crossovers as one of the reasons it became debt-free as of 2012.
