Results of Japanese "friendship" survey released; Doraemon listed at No. 1
If you had the chance, which anime character would you like to have be your friend? That's the question that Japanese survey site Ranking Japan asked a group of 200 users aged 20 to 30. On Wednesday, the site announced the results of the survey, which was conducted last April.
Fujiko F. Fujio's world famous robotic cat, Doraemon, easily won first place with 36% of the vote - more than three times the number of votes that second place winner Lupin received.
The top 10, listed by character name and anime series, are as follows:
