Yuki Kaida Replaces Tomoko Kawakami on Ikoku Irokoi #2

Manga creator Ayano Yamane has announced in a Friday blog entry that voice actress Yuki Kaida (Hunter X Hunter, The Prince of Tennis, Shonen Onmyouji) has taken over the role of Kaoru in the video adaptation of Yamane's Ikoku Irokoi Romantan boys-love comedy manga. The original voice actress, Tomoko Kawakami (Utena, Hikaru no Go, Sugar: A Little Snow Fairy, Air), had announced that she had admitted herself into a hospital on August 16 for an unspecified illness. She is now recovering from a surgical operation that ended on August 19 "without a hitch." The October 24 release date for "Roma no Kyūjitsu" ("Roman Holiday"), the second volume in the Ikoku Irokoi Romantan video series, remains unchanged.
There is no official word on what will happen with Kawakami's other current voice-acting work, such as Keroro Gunsō (Sgt. Frog).
