The Chinese web portal Sina.com has posted a three-minute video that summarizes the history of Osamu Tezuka's Astro Boy (Tetsuwan Atom) manga and anime. The video also serves as an introduction to IMAGI Entertainment's computer-animated film remake by highlighting its voice cast in behind-the-scenes footage. The video includes limited amounts of previously unseen animated sequences, as well as a short quote by Nicolas Cage (Dr. Tenma) about Astro Boy's appeal to children. The film will open in North America in October.
The British distributor for Chris Nohan's live-action adaptation of Production I.G's Blood: The Last Vampire film is streaming the international trailer. The film opens in the United Kingdom on June 26, and it will then play on at least 17 screens in eight states and Washington, D.C. in America on July 10. Wizard World Philadelphia will also hold an advance screening on June 19.
The official website for the Spice and Wolf anime has begun streaming a special puppet promotional video on Thursday. In the video, Ami Koshimizu (Holo) and Jun Fukuyama (Kraft Lawrence) talk about the second anime season with official Holo and Lawrence hand puppets. The new season will premiere on July 8, and Funimation announced last month that it licensed the first season for North America.
