LifeStyle Tsunoda's story about dog-like creature with face shaped like buttocks

Toei Animation has announced on Wednesday that it is collaborating with the publisher Mag Garden and THINK Corporation on 13 Flash-animated television shorts based on LifeStyle Tsunoda's Ketsu-Inu web manga. The manga centers on a creature that looks like a dog (inu) with a face shaped like buttocks (ketsu) — but no one knows if it is really a dog at all.

The anime will have 13 150-second episodes (#0-#12), and Haruki Kasugamori (Neko Rahmen, Jigoku Kōshien) is writing, directing, and animating. Tomokazu Sugita (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) leads the cast which also includes the Hawaii-born singer Michael Rivas (Angel Beats!, Tentai Senshi Sunred).

The series will premiere on the AT-X anime channel on April 1, but it will not have a regularly scheduled timeslot. Instead, the anime's official website will list when the each episode will premiere on television. Each episode will then appear on the Internet and on mobile phones. The original manga runs in the Yahoo! Comic website's free Eden & Blade Comic Archive magazine.
