Japanese Box Office, December 25-26

Inazuma Eleven opens at #2; Yamato, Kamen Rider, Bleach stay on charts

Inazuma Eleven: Saikyō Gundan Ogre Shūrai, the first anime film based on the Inazuma Eleven soccer role-playing game and anime franchise, opened at #2 on Kogyo Tsushinsha's box office chart. However, it did not appear on Box Office Mojo's chart.

The live-action film adaptation of the Space Battleship Yamato anime franchise dropped from #3 to #4 in its fourth week on Kogyo Tsushinsha's box office chart. On Box Office Mojo's chart, Yamato it stayed at #4 and added US$1,958,335 on 440 screens to its total of US$32,041,752.

Ryuta Tasaki's Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider: OOO & W feat. Skull: Movie Taisen Core dropped from #1 to #6 in its second weekend on Kogyo Tsushinsha's chart. According to Box Office Mojo, it was #5 and earned the equivalent of US$1,563,185 on 275 screens to add to its total of US$8,308,680.

Bleach: Jigoku-hen, the fourth film based on Tite Kubo's Bleach supernatural manga, fell from #11 to #13 in its fourth week. It brought in US$268,920 on 233 screens for a gross-to-date of US$5,560,380.

The Ultraman Zero the Movie Chō Kessen! Belial Ginga Teikoku opened at #10 on Kogyo Tsushinsha's box office chart, but it did not appear on Box Office Mojo's chart. The #1 film was the live-action Aibō: Gekijō-ban II.
