Fairy Tail Manga #35 to Bundle 4th DVD With Beach Anime

Guild heads to beach & hot spring during Grand Magic Games training in November

The official website of Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail fantasy adventure manga is announcing this week that the 35th manga volume will bundle an original anime DVD when it ships on November 16. The DVD is the fourth original anime DVD to come with the special-edition volumes of the manga. The brand-new anime will bring Natsu, Lucy, and the others to a training camp for the Grand Magic Games. While there, the Fairy Tail Guild take a much needed break at the beach and hot spring.

The manga and anime follow the adventures of world's most notorious mage guild, Fairy Tail. The manga's first and second original anime DVD shipped with the 26th and 27th manga volumes in 2011, and the third original anime DVD shipped with the 31st volume this past February.

Shinji Ishihira has directed all of the original anime DVDs at A-1 Pictures Inc. and Satelight, just as he does for the ongoing television anime series. Similarly, character designer Aoi Yamamoto has been involved in all of the original anime DVDs so far, including the upcoming fourth one. However, Atsuhiro Tomioka (Danbōru Senki, Inazuma Eleven, Pocket Monsters: Best Wishes! Season 2) is writing the fourth original anime DVD instead of the television anime' script editor Masashi Sogo, who wrote the first three. The same voice cast who has voiced the television series for four years is in the upcoming anime DVD.

Del Rey published 12 volumes of the original manga in North America, and Kodansha resumed publishing the manga with the 13th volume in 2011. Crunchyroll streams the television anime into several countries as it airs in Japan, and Funimation has been releasing the DVD/Blu-ray sets.
