Nana Mizuki to Sing Final Yamato 2199 Movie's Ending Theme

The official website for the Space Battleship Yamato 2199 anime series/film project announced on Monday that voice actress and singer Nana Mizuki (Blood-C, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, Senki Zesshō Symphogear theme song artist) will sing the ending theme song for the seventh and final installment in the film series. The project's creators had personally requested that the voice actress sing the final movie's theme song. Mizuki is already a part of the "dream team" of 35 anime song artists who are singing the theme song for the television anime series version.
The fifth installment in the film series, which is composed of episodes 15-18, will premiere in 12 theaters in Japan on Saturday, and then will ship on Blu-ray Disc and DVD on May 28. That installment features an ending theme song from Hironobu Kageyama. The sixth installment will feature an ending theme from JAM Project.
The first episode of the television series premiered in Japan on April 7.
