Animated Tanaka offers "President Tanaka" sticker if you order off his limited-time website

An animated infomercial featuring RPG Persona 3's Tanaka aired during the noon broadcast of Disco Train on the Tokyo MX TV channel on Sunday. In the television shopping segment, Tanaka introduced a ticket for the upcoming Persona 3 the Movie #1 Spring of Birth film that is bundled with a CD. The disc contains the film's main theme song "More Than One Heart," as well as "Burn My Dread –Spring of Birth ver.-", both performed by Yumi Kawamura. The film's official website began streaming the video after it was aired.

Pre-orders for the tickets are being accepted not only by phone, but on Tanaka's Jika Net website, which launched in real life for a limited time only. (Jika Net is Tanaka's company in the Persona 3 video game.) Fake items like diet food and powerful protein are listed as “sold out” on the website. Those who order the tickets online will receive a “President Tanaka” sticker as a bonus.

In the game's story, there is a hidden time known as the "Dark Hour" that exists between one day and the next when all movement in the town stops. During this time, terrible creatures called Shadows roam, and a group of high school students in the city of Iwatodai are drawn into the Dark Hour to fight these creatures and explore the mysterious tower of Tartarus. This group uses weapons called Evokers that are used to summon Personas.

Noriaki Akitaya (three Bakuman. series) is directing the first film at AIC A.S.T.A. with Seiji Kishi (Persona 4 The Animation, Devil Survivor 2 The Animation, Angel Beats!) supervising. Jun Kumagai (Aura: Maryūinkōga Saigo no Tatakai, episodes of Persona 4 The Animation) wrote the screenplay, and Keisuke Watabe (Crest of the Stars, Banner of the Stars) is serving as character designer and animation director. Shoji Meguro (Persona 4 The Animation) is composing the music.

The film will open in Japanese theaters on November 23.
