Japan's Animation TV Ranking, October 14-20

Pokémon XY debuts with 5.3% rating; Doraemon, Shin-chan return

The 16th live-action movie based on Juzo Yamasaki's Tsuri Baka Nisshi ("Diary of a Fishing Fool") manga aired on NTV on Friday, October 18 at 9:00 p.m. and earned an 8.2% rating.

Andō Lloyd ~A.I. knows LOVE?~, the live-action drama starring Kou Shibasaki and SMAP member Takuya Kimura, aired on TBS on Sunday, October 20 at 9:00 p.m. and earned a 15.2% rating. Evangelion director Hideaki Anno collaborated on the drama's story concepts, and Kazuya Tsurumaki (director of the Evangelion films, FLCL) and Mahiro Maeda (Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo) also contributed to the drama.
