Hokuto no Ken: Ichigo Aji TV Anime's Teaser Video Streamed

The YouTube channel for Tokuma Shoten's Comic Zenon magazine began streaming a teaser video on Friday for the television anime of Imōto Yukito, Yūshi Kawata, and Yukito's Hokuto no Ken: Ichigo Aji (Fist of the North Star: Strawberry Flavor) manga.

The original anime announcement had teased in June that Banjō Ginga would return to play Souther. Ginga played Souther in the original Fist of the North Star television anime series, but other voice actors have also played him, including Akio Ohtsuka (Shin Kyūseishu Densetsu Hokuto no Ken: Raoh-den Junai no Shō and Shin Kyūseishu Densetsu Hokuto no Ken: Yuria-den), Toshihiko Seki (Legends of the Dark King: A Fist of the North Star Story), and Nobutoshi Canna (Hokuto Musou, Shin Hokuto Musou video games).
Buronson and Tetsuo Hara — the creators of the original Fist of the North Star post-apocalyptic fighting manga — are credited with the original work for Hokuto no Ken: Ichigo Aji. Kawata writes the manga's scenarios, Imōto Yukito draws the manga, and Yukito is credited with collaboration.
The gag manga centers on a fun version of the Holy Emperor Souther as he tries to find ways to become friends with Kenshirō, demonstrates his party techniques, and sometimes plays with the Gosha Sei.
Imōto Yukito, Yukito, and Kawata launched the manga on Tokuma Shoten's Web Comic Zenyon website in 2013, and the publisher shipped the fourth compiled volume (pictured at right) in June.
Kajio's DD Fist of the North Star, another Fist of the North Star spinoff gag manga, previously inspired a DD Hokuto no Ken short anime, a series of anime shorts that premiered in 2011, and another television anime series that premiered in 2013.
