Crunchyroll Adds English Dub of The Misfit of Demon King Academy II, Gundam: Witch from Mercury Anime in India

Crunchyroll added the English dub for The Misfit of Demon King Academy II, the second season of the The Misfit of Demon King Academy anime, in India on Sunday. The company also added the English dub for the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury anime in India on February 13.

The first season of The Misfit of Demon King Academy premiered in July 2020. The second season premiered on January 7.

Shin Oonuma (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya, A Sister's All You Need) is returning as the chief director for the second season, and Masafumi Tamura (Two Car, Wise Man's Grandchild) is returning as the director. SILVER LINK is again producing the animation. Kazuyuki Yamayoshi (Chaos;Child) is again adapting Yoshinori Shizuma's original character designs for animation. Jin Tanaka (Laid-Back Camp) is again in charge of series scripts. Ryousuke Naya is again the sound director, and Keiji Inai is returning to compose the music.

The anime is based on Shu's The Misfit of Demon King Academy: History's Strongest Demon King Reincarnates and Goes to School with His Descendants (Maō Gakuin no Futekigōsha ~Shijō Saikyō no Maō no Shiso, Tensei Shite Shison-tachi no Gakkō e Kayō) light novel series.

Shu launched the novel series on the Shōsetsu ni Narō website in April 2017.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury premiered in Japan in October 2022 on MBS and TBS, and aired on Sundays at 5:00 p.m.

The anime's first part ended with its 12th episode on January 8. The anime's second part will air in April in the same Sunday 5:00 p.m. time slot on MBS and TBS as the first part.

Crunchyroll began streaming the anime's English dub in other regions on February 5.

Hiroshi Kobayashi (Kimi no Iru Machi, Kiznaiver, Spriggan) is directing the anime at Bandai Namco Filmworks/Sunrise, with Ryo Ando (Interviews with Monster Girls, Double Decker! Doug & Kirill) as co-director. Ichiro Okouchi (Code Geass, Princess Principal, Sk8 the Infinity) is credited for series composition and as scriptwriter. mogmo is credited for the original character designs, and Marie Tagashira, Shuri Toida, and Hirotoshi Takaya are drawing those character designs for animation. Takashi Ohmama (Castle Town Dandelion, Mobile Suit Gundam Twilight AXIS) is composing the music.
