Barely evading Ypsilon, the deadly new Perfect Soldier, Chirico Cuvie is captured and taken straight to the Veela Guerillas' secret base, deep in the Kummen Jungle. There, he is not only reunited with Fyana, but he also comes face to face with Ypsilon again. Aided by Fyana, Chirico makes good his escape... but his return to the EX-10 mercenary base is met with suspicion.

It takes a full-on enemy assault to save Chirico and raise the stakes. A treaty with the Melkian Army brings Captain Rochina back into the fray. Finally learning all about the Perfect Soldier project, Chirico is ordered to participate in a joint operation against the Veela Guerillas, beginning with an assault on Prince Kanjielman's stronghold.
