Zatoichi/Hakuōki Actor Fights Animated Enemies

The Japanese technology/art studio Team LabNet posted the above video to its YouTube account last month. In the video, Japanese stage and film actor Taichi Saotome (The Blind Swordsman: Zatoichi, Hakuōki Shinsengumi Enburoku stage play) performs a choreographed swordfight. He is the only actor on stage, but animated cherry blossoms are projected onto a screen behind him; the choreography is such that it appears that he fights the blossoms themselves, as well as a humanoid shadow opponent which mirrors his own moves.
