Mami no Dokidoki Tiro Finale to be released for free on smartphones on Friday

The official website for the PSP game Puella Magi Madoka Magica Portable began streaming a promotional video for the Mami no Dokidoki Tiro Finale (Mami's Heart-Pounding Tiro Finale) smartphone app on Tuesday.

Bandai Namco Games will release Mami no Dokidoki Tiro Finale for free on Friday to celebrate the release of Puella Magi Madoka Magica Portable, although the PSP game is not slated to ship until March 15, 2012. The spinoff app is named after Tiro Finale, Mami's finishing move in battles in the original Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime. The site has not yet announced which platform or platforms that the app will support.

According to the video, the player can "change fate" in the mini-game app by controlling Mami, one of the girls who form a contract with the character Kyubey to become magical girls. The top high scores will be uploaded to the offical website. The video also indicates that as more people play the mini-game and "reverse entropy," the latest info on Puella Magi Madoka Magica Portable will be revealed.

Aniplex of America will release the anime itself with English subtitles and dubbing in North America.
