Panic! at the Disco Vocalist Brendon Urie Bops to Demon Slayer OP on Twitch Stream

Panic! at the Disco vocalist Brendon Urie was spotted bopping along to the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba opening theme "Gurenge" on a Twitch stream on September 29. Urie regularly plays popular music during the outros of his video game streams. The "Gurenge" clip has gone viral on social media, as Urie's enthusiasm for the song is clearly evident in how he sings along with it.

Anime fans who happened to watch the stream live were surprised and delighted by Urie's passion. One Twitch commenter wrote: "My weeb heart is bopping it's [sic] booty shaped body."

The "Gurenge" single by LiSA released in Japan on July 3. It was the second-most downloaded Summer 2019 anime theme song on the music download site Mora and was certified platinum.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba premiered on April 6. Haruo Sotozaki (Tales of Zestiria the X, Tales of Symphonia the Animation) is directing the anime at ufotable (Fate/Zero, Kara no Kyoukai, Katsugeki: Touken Ranbu). ufotable is also credited for the scripts. The anime will get a sequel film titled Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen Ressha-Hen (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Demon Train Arc).
