Pioneer announces last Dragonball Z release

Right Stuf reports that Pioneer will cease its release of the recut Dragon Ball Z TV series from Funimation with volume 17. The popular series was dubbed into English and distributed on American television, which mandated content cuts. Due to a lack of interest from syndication companies, only 53 episodes were produced (not including movies), and Pioneer's releases finish what was produced.
According to a Funimation representitive, Pioneer has the rights to produce an uncut subtitled version, but they have not announced any such plans as of yet.
