posted on by Egan Loo
The media-distribution website Crunchyroll has announced on Saturday that it will start streaming the first four English-subtitled episodes of the Koihime†Musō action fantasy comedy anime series at 5:00 p.m. PDT. According to Crunchyroll, the anime will be available in subtitled and dubbed formats worldwide except in Japan, France, Belgium, China, Luxembourg, Andorra, Monaco, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
The anime adapts BaseSon's Koihime†Musō: Doki—Otome Darake no Sangokushi ENGI adult adventure game for personal computers. Koihime†Musō re-imagines the classic Chinese historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms (Sangokushi) as a "moe (fiery), moe (preciously cute) action comedy" with an almost all-female cast. The same Romance of the Three Kingdoms novel also inspired KOEI's game franchise of the same name, KOEI's Dynasty Warriors (Shin Sangoku Musō) spinoffs, and dozens of anime and manga of varying historical accuracy.

Update: Crunchyroll acknowledges that its original press release had listed dubbed versions in error. Its streams will contain subtitles only.
