Fuji TV Producer: Volleyball Manga Gets TV Anime

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Fuji TV producer Taichirō Fujiyama wrote on Twitter on Monday that a volleyball manga is being adapted into an anime, but added that the anime will air on a different channel. Fujiyama did not state the author or title of the series.

Several volleyball manga have been adapted into anime and live-action series in the past. Attack No. 1 by Chikako Urano was adapted into a 1969 anime series and a 2005 live-action series and manga remake. Additionally, Shiroh Jinbo's Attack on Tomorrow manga was adapted into an anime series in 1977, and Yoko Nihonbashi's Shōjo Fight manga was adapted into an original anime video in 2009.
