Adaptation of manga by Bunny Drop's Yumi Unita to open on February 7

AMG Entertainment began streaming a trailer for the live-action film adaptation of Yumi Unita's Sukimasuki (roughly translated, Peephole Love) manga series on Wednesday. The film's staff has also revealed a theatrical poster. The "unique" coming-of-age story revolves around Heisaku, a male college student who loves to peep into cracks and holes, and Fumio, a woman who lives in a room Heisaku peers into.

EXILE group member Keita Machida (Sugarless, Kamen Teacher) will play Heisaku, and Kokone Sasaki (Tokyo Tribe) will play Fumio. Supporting cast members include Yagi Masayasu (also an EXILE group member), Eriko Nakamura, Kusumi Mizuki, and Miyabi Matsunoi. Kōta Yoshida (Usotsuki Paradox, Onna no Anna, The Torture Club) is directing the film, which will open in Tokyo's Cinemart Roppongi and Osaka's Cinemart Shinsaibashi on February 7, 2015.

Unita serialized the manga in Shogakukan's Ikki magazine from 2000 (when Ikki was a spinoff of Weekly Big Comic Spirits) to 2004 (after Ikki became its own monthly magazine).

Unita's earlier slice-of-life manga Usagi Drop (Bunny Drop) began serializing in Shodensha's Feel Young magazine in 2005 and ended in April 2011, and Yen Press published the manga in North America. A television anime aired in Japan from July to September 2011, and a live-action film opened in Japan in December 2011.
