Rainy Cocoa Anime's 3rd Season Reveals Title, Cast, Staff, Theme Song Artist

Rainy Cocoa in Hawaii premieres on October 2

The official website for the Rainy Cocoa television anime franchise revealed the October 2 premiere date on Friday for Rainy Cocoa in Hawaii, the anime's third season. (The third season was previously listed on the site under the title Rainy Cocoa: Rainy color Waikiki). The anime will premiere on October 2 on Sun TV at 10:27 p.m. and on Tokyo MX at 10:28 p.m.

The site also announced the anime's additional cast on September 16. The new cast includes (Note: character name romanizations aren't official):

In the new anime, Rainy Color is opening a new coffee shop location in Hawaii, and Kōji Amami nominates Nozomu Tokura to be the manager of the new location. The anime follows Nozomu as he makes new friends and works hard to open the new shop successfully.

The anime features a new staff. Hisashi Ishii (episode director for Naruto Shippūden, Eden of the East) is directing the anime at EMT Squared. Eri Tokugawa (animation director for Charlotte, A Lull in the Sea) is the character designer and animation director, Kazuhiro Arai (MazinKaiser, Kurenai) is the art director, Eiko Nishi (Bleach, Gatchaman Crowds insight) is handling the color design, and Hitomi Oikawa is the sound director. Yugo Sato is performing the new anime's theme song "Hitomi wa, Ameiro endless summer rainbow" (Your Eyes Are a Rainy Color endless summer rainbow).

The first Rainy Cocoa anime premiered in April 2015 and the sequel, Rainy Cocoa, Welcome to Rainy Color (Ameiro Cocoa Rainy color e Yōkoso!), premiered in October 2015. Funimation streamed both Rainy Cocoa and Rainy Cocoa, Welcome to Rainy Color as they aired, and the company is releasing both seasons subtitled only on DVD on September 27.
