Cuticle Detective Inaba Manga Ends on January 18

Comedy manga launched in 2007, inspired anime

The official website for Square Enix's G Fantasy magazine announced on Saturday that Mochi's Cuticle Detective Inaba (Cuticle Tantei Inaba) manga will end in the magazine's next issue on January 18. The final chapter will have an opening color page.

The manga centers on Hiroshi Inaba, a part-man, part-wolf detective with a hair fetish who begins his own detective agency alongside his cross-dressing secretary Yuuta, and his assistant Kei. Together, they try to foil the schemes of Don Valentino, a goat and leader of an Italian mafia group.

Mochi launched the manga in G Fantasy magazine in 2007. Square Enix published the manga's 17th compiled book volume on June 27. Crunchyroll publishes the manga digitally in English.

The manga inspired a 12-episode television anime adaptation in 2013. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan, and Sentai Filmworks released the anime on DVD and Blu-ray in April 2014.

Mochi also serializes the Majo no Geboku to Maō no Tsuno (The Witch's Manservant and the Devil's Horn) manga, which has been running in Square Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan since April 2014.
