Story about part-man, part-wolf's detective agency to be available digitally, on home video this year

North American anime licensing company Sentai Filmworks announced on Monday that it acquired the Cuticle Detective Inaba television anime series. The series will "be available soon through select digital outlets with a home video release later this year."

The anime adaptation of Mochi's manga tells the story of Hiroshi Inaba, a part-man, part-wolf, former "secret doberman" who begins his own detective agency. The anime premiered on January 4 in Japan.

The show stars Junichi Suwabe as Hiroshi Inaba and Toru Ohkawa as Don Valentino. Other cast members include Nobuhiko Okamoto, Yumi Shimura, Rina Hidaka, Miyu Irino, Asami Shimoda, Toshiyuki Morikawa, Juurouta Kosugi, Yoko Hikasa, Tomokazu Sugita, Asami Seto, Yuiko Tatsumi, Kousuke Toriumi, Ai Fukada, and Mitsuki Saiga.

Suwabe performs the opening theme song "Haruka, Nichijō no Naka de" (Faraway, In the Daily Life), and Ohkawa performs the ending theme "Prima Stella."

Susumu Mitsunaka (episode director for Bunny Drop, Yondemasu yo, Azazel-san) is directing the series at studio ZEXCS. Makoto Nakamura (Seitokai Yakuindomo, Starry Sky) is handling the series composition, and Satoshi Koike (Senki Zesshō Symphogear, Sgt. Frog) is serving as both character designer and chief animation director.

Crunchyroll is streaming the anime into several countries as it airs in Japan.
