The official website for the television anime of Hinowa Kōzuki's Yōkai Apāto no Yūga na Nichijō (Refined Daily Life at the Supernatural Entity Apartment) light novel series revealed additional cast, staff, and the anime's July 3 premiere on Thursday.

The cast, including the two previously announced leads, includes:

Atsushi Abe as Yūshi Inaba

Yuichi Nakamura as Mizuki Hase

Akira Ishida as Reimei Isshiki

Miyuki Sawashiro as Akine Kuga

Kazuya Nakai as Akira Fukase

The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX and Yomiuri TV on July 3, and on BS11 on July 4 as part of the Anime no Me programming block.

Mitsuo Hashimoto (Dragon Ball Z: Bardock - The Father of Goku, Battle B-Daman: Fire Spirits, Initial D: Fifth Stage) is directing the anime at Shin-Ei Animation. Yasunori Yamada (A Little Snow Fairy Sugar, Hybrid x Heart Magias Academy Ataraxia) is in charge of series composition. Tomomi Shimazaki (THE [email protected] MOVIE: Kagayaki no Mukōgawa e!, Hunter X Hunter key animation) is designing the characters for animation.

The novels' story centers on Yūshi Inaba, a 16-year-old boy whose parents died three years ago. He moved into his uncle's house, but resolved to move into a dormitory in high school. Those plans were dashed when that dormitory burned down. He eventually finds an apartment with cheap 25,000-yen (about US$220) rent. Yūshi finds out too late that the apartment is home to supernatural creatures such as ghosts, yōkai, and mononoke, and his daily life becomes embroiled in the eccentric apartment.

Kōzuki launched the light novel series in 2003, and concluded it in 2009 with 10 volumes (and a later side-story collection in 2013). Kadokawa republished the 10 novels in 2008-2014, and published two spinoff novels for the series in 2009 and 2012. Waka Miyama launched a manga adaptation in Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine in 2011. Kodansha published the manga's 13th volume on April 7.

The original work has more than 4.7 million copies in print.
