Kana Yūki, Saki Miyashita perform "FLY two BLUE" song

The staff of the television anime of Nyoijizai's Harukana Receive manga revealed a promotional video and the July 6 premiere date on Saturday. The video previews the song "FLY two BLUE," performed by Kana Yūki and Saki Miyashita as their characters Haruka Ōzora and Kanata Higa, respectively.

The anime will premiere on July 6 on AT-X at 9:00 p.m., followed by Tokyo MX at 25:40 (effectively 1:40 a.m. on July 7). The show will also air on TV Aichi, Sun TV, Ryukyu Broadcasting Corporation, KBS Kyoto, TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting Co., Ltd., and BS 11, and it will stream on d Anime Store (Docomo Anime Store) and AbemaTV.

The cast includes:

Kana Yūki as Haruka Ōzora, a second-year high school student who moves from Tokyo to Okinawa. She has a cheerful and bright personality. She is fairly tall relative to girls her age, and always has a hard time finding clothes and shoes that fit. She is generally good at sports, but is a complete beginner at beach volleyball.

Saki Miyashita as Kanata Higa, Haruka's cousin who lives in Okinawa, and is a second-year high school student like her. She was an avid beach volleyball player in the past, but because she didn't become as tall as she thought she would, she gave it up. She has a generally reserved and introverted personality. Haruka drags her to take up beach volleyball again with her.

Atsumi Tanezaki as Claire (Kurea) Thomas, a second-year student in the same high school as Haruka and the others, and Emiri's twin. She does not care about the small details. Ever since they were little, the sisters have excelled in school and are also ranked #2 in the nation in beach volleyball.

Rie Suegara as Emily (Emiri) Thomas, a second-year student in the same high school as Haruka and the others, and Kurea's twin. Serious and calm, she serves as a student council member. The sisters are ranked #2 in the nation in beach volleyball.

Miyuri Shimabukuro as Narumi Tōi, a second-year student at Fukuchiyama Academy who once was Kanata's pair partner. She now teams up with Ayasa.

Kanae Itō as Ayasa Tachibana, a second-year student at Fukuchiyama Academy and Kanata's current partner.

Chisa Kimura as Akari Ōshiro, a first-year student in the same high school as Haruka and the others. She joins the beach volleyball team and serves like a manager for the team.

As previously announced, Toshiyuki Kubooka (Berserk: The Golden Age Arc) is directing the anime at C2C, and Touko Machida (A Centaur's Life, Wake Up, Girls!) is supervising and writing the series scripts. Takeshi Oda (Oneechan ga Kita, Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki 4) is designing the characters and serving as chief animation director.

Shinya Yamada is in charge of sub character designs and costume designs. Takeshi Oda, Yoshiaki Tsubata, and Tetsuya Matsukawa are serving as chief animation directors, and Hidetoshi Takahashi is the assistant director. Hiroki Ikeshita and Shigeru Chiba are directing the special effects. The main animators are Nobuyuki Matsuo and Shunsuke Takarai. Yoshio Mizumura is designing the props.

Shinji Sugiyama is handling art setting, and Mio Isshoku is directing the background art at Studio Wyeth. Ryōta Katsuta is the color key artist, and Jumpei Mukai is handling screen setting and 3D direction. Yoshito Kuwa is directing the photography at Studio Cyan. Keisuke Yanagi is editing.

Akiko Fujita is directing the sound at HALF H·P STUDIO. Rasmus Faber (The Asterisk War: The Academy City on the Water, Lagrange - The Flower of Rin-ne) is composing the music at Kadokawa.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga and plans to release the first two volumes in July and October. The company describes the story:

When high schooler Haruka moves to Okinawa, she finds herself enamored with the beach right outside her front door and resolves to form a volleyball team with her cousin, Kanata. However, because she's so short, Kanata gave up on volleyball ages ago. Can Haruka get her to take up the sport again in time for the junior tournament?

Nyoijizai launched the manga in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine in August 2015. The fifth compiled volume shipped on April 12.
