Play runs in Tokyo, Osaka in late July, early August

The official website for the stage play adaptation of Satoshi Miyakawa and artist Kei Itō's Uchū Senkan Tiramisu (Space Battleship Tiramisu) manga revealed the play's main visual and cast visuals on Friday.

The play stars:

Kentarō Menjō as Subaru Ichinose

Gaku Takamoto as Isuzu Ichinose

Yūsuke Ueda as Vulgar Hummer

Kotarō Itō as Subaru-B

Ryūko Isogai as Venturi Leroy

Kaede Fujimoto as Ligier Leroy

Kōhei Masaki as Martin Ensemble

The play will run at the Theater Sun Mall in Tokyo from July 25 to 31, and at the ABC Hall in Osaka from August 11 to 12. Kazuhito Yoneyama is directing the play, and Yūsei Naruse is penning the script.

The science fiction gag comedy follows the everyday life of Subaru Ichinose, the ace pilot of the space battleship "Tiramisu." Since he cannot get used to being surrounded by older pilots, Subaru shuts himself in the cockpit of his personal ship "Durandal."

Writer Miyakawa (Haha o Nakushita Toki, Boku wa Ikotsu o Tabetai to Omotta.) and artist Itō launched the ongoing manga on Shinchosha's Kurage Bunch website in October 2015.

The manga inspired a 13-episode television anime series that premiered on April 2. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan, and Funimation is streaming an English dub. The series will also have three unaired episodes that will be included on home video releases. The anime will get a second season in October.
