Marvel Comics and Shueisha announced on Tuesday that they are collaborating to publish a biweekly series of seven manga short stories on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ manga website, starting on Wednesday and lasting until November 27. The one-shots and their respective authors include:
"Gag Reel" (September 18) by Hachi Mizuno ("Akuten Wars")
"Interview with Heroes" (October 2) by Ken Ogino (Lady Justice)
"Samurai" (October 16) by Sanshirō Kasama and Hikaru Uesugi (Tsugihagi Quest)
"Halloween Avengers" (October 30) by Mato (Darling in the Franxx four-panel spinoff)
"Antman+" (November 13) by Toyotaka Haneda (Vocchi-men)
In addition, Takeshi Sakurai drew a manga portrayal of the planning meeting between the Shonen Jump+ editors and Marvel Comics editor-in-chief C.B. Cebulski.
Kodansha previously held its Magazine "Marvel" Manga Award for its Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2017 and 2018. The contest accepted submissions of one-shot manga stories using Marvel Comics characters, with the winner serializing their story. Fairy Tail creator Hiro Mashima served as judge for last year's contest.
