Banjo & Kazooie characters out now with more characters planned, Undertale's Sans available as costume

Nintendo revealed during its Nintendo Direct stream on Wednesday that Fatal Fury and The King of Fighters character Terry Bogard will join the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate crossover fighting game as the fourth Fighters Pass character this November. The character debuted in the first Fatal Fury game in 1991, and is one of game developer SNK's most iconic characters.

In addition, Nintendo revealed that the title characters from Rare's Banjo-Kazooie game series are now available. Nintendo announced the characters in June. Nintendo said that it plans to add more characters to the game beyond the five characters planned for the Fighters Pass, and it also added the character Sans from the Undertale game as a Mii Fighter costume.

Joker, the protagonist character from Persona 5, joined the game as the first Fighters Pass character on April 17. Hero, a representation of the main characters from the Dragon Quest series, joined the game as the second character on July 30.

The game shipped for the Nintendo Switch last December. The game includes all previous playable characters and support eight-player battles. New characters include Animal Crossing: New Leaf's Isabelle, Metroid's Ridley, Castlevania's Simon, Donkey Kong's King K. Rool, and Pokemon's Incineroar.

Several other characters are joining the game as "Echo Fighters" for other characters. Echo Fighters include Street Fighter's Ken (for Ryu), Castlevania's Richter (for Simon), Fire Emblem's Chrom (for Ike), Metroid's Dark Samus (for Samus), Daisy (for Peach), Lucina (for Marth), and Dark Pit (for Pit). Echo Fighters have moves and properties that closely match another character's.
