Book☆Walker Picks Up "The Ryuo's Work is never Done!" (Working Title) Light Novel Series for Translation
July 11, 2017 – Several months ago, BookWalker Global announced their first exclusive light novel, The Combat Baker and Automaton Waitress, which was released on June 30. Now they are on to their second exclusive title, The Ryuo's Work Is Never Done! (Ryūō no Oshigoto!/りゅうおうのおしごと!) written by Shirow Shiratori and illustrated by Shirabii.
This light novel series first debuted in September of 2015 and is now up to 6 volumes! BookWalker has scheduled the first English volume of this shogi comedy series to release on global.BookWalker.jp in autumn 2017.
The Ryuo's Work Is Never Done!(working title) is about a teenage boy named Yaichi Kuzuryuu who happens to be the strongest shogi player in history, holding the top title of “Ryūō”(Dragon King). One fateful day, shogi-loving elementary student, Ai Hinatsuru, appears before him claiming that he promised to be her master. But was such a promise really ever made? Thus began their master and disciple relationship!

Originally published by SB Creative, The Ryuo's Work Is Never Done! took the number one spot on the “Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi” 2017 rankings. SB Creative has also announced earlier today that an animated series is in the works.
Although The Ryuo's Work Is Never Done! is due to release this autumn, BookWalker's first exclusive title, The Combat Baker and Automaton Waitress, is available now at global.bookwalker.jp. The first 3 chapters of volume 1 are also free to read until July 21st.
