Seismic Announces Astro Boy Trick or Treat Blind Box Toys

Soft vinyl blind box figures combine Tezuka's iconic character with famous monsters like Dracula, Frankenstein's monster, and the Mummy

May 30 2025, Toronto, Canada

Seismic Toys in collaboration with Gums Productions, has announced a brand new partnership with the legendary Tezuka Productions to produce officially licensed Astro Boy figurines, available for pre-order right now. The figures mix Tezuka's iconic Astro Boy with halloween-themed monsters for a unique blend of sci-fi, horror, and cuteness.

Astro Boy is such an important piece of Japanese pop culture,” explains Seismic CCO Alex Rushdy. “We've built something totally unprecedented, mixing famous western monsters like werewolves and vampires with the classic Japanese brand. It's really exciting for us as fans of classic horror and Astro Boy since we were kids. It's also exciting for us to offer a blind box product at a lower price point than our usual figures.”

There are 6 figures in the line, with Astro Boy dressed as Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, a Werewolf, a Swamp Monster, and a Mummy, as well as Uran dressed as the “Sister of Frankenstein.” Additionally, rare “glow in the dark” chase variants are available with a 1/72 chance of finding one. Each figure stands approximately 5 inches tall.
The figures themselves were designed and sculpted by Seismic's longtime collaborator Michael Lambert and promo art illustrated by the incredibly talented Linzb0t.

Astro Boy Trick or Treat ships this fall with pre-sale now available for an MSP of $19.99 per figure. Orders can be placed directly through Seismic Toys (https://www.seismictoys.com/), as well as some of your favorite toy & collectible stores.

Wholesale inquiries can be made through our wholesale distributor, Disburst. (http://disburst.com/) starting June 9th.

Since his first appearance in the "Captain Atom" series in "Shonen" in 1951, Atom, the 100,000-hp jet-propelled robot boy, has boasted overwhelming popularity in magazines, on television and on the big screen as the star of the major series "Astro Boy". His character could even be said to be synonymous with Osamu Tezuka.
